Intelerad augments PACS through mammography partnership with Three Palm Software
Montreal, Quebec, August 19, 2008 - Intelerad Medical Systems is pleased to announce the signing of a new partnership agreement with Three Palm Software, a developer of software products for mammography.

Unlike a generic PACS viewer, Three Palm Software's WorkstationOne was designed to meet the unique requirements for mammography reading. WorkstationOne includes base mammography review functionality as required to meet IHE and MQSA guidelines. Enhanced functionality in terms of workflow, integration, and innovative reading tools specifically designed for mammography, differentiate WorkstationOne from other competing workstations.

Enables portable mammography records on CDs and DVDs

PACSGEAR recently added MammoViewer™, an application designed specifically for viewing mammography images, to MediaWriter™, its line of affordable and reliable DICOM CD/DVD burning solutions. MammoViewer can be included on CDs, DVDs and portable media to let patients and physicians view mammography images, as well as electronic markers that are generated by computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) applications. These markers draw attention to regions of interest on mammograms.

Three Palm Software Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for Its WorkstationOne(TM) Breast Imaging Workstation
LOS GATOS, California, December 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Three Palm Software, LLC of Los Gatos, California today announced that it has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its WorkstationOne
TM Breast Imaging Workstation. WorkstationOne is intended for softcopy reading and interpretation of digital mammography images, and was developed with the goal of assisting radiologists to read digital mammograms efficiently.
WorkstationOne incorporates expert viewing methodology, including Tabar’s systematic viewing technique for searching for subtle abnormalities on the mammograms. “WorkstationOne’s unique reading protocol provides a very efficient environment for reading digital mammography exams” said Dr. Laszlo Tabar, Professor of Radiology at the School of Medicine, University of Uppsala, Sweden. “It is critical to be able to read the ever increasing number of digital mammography examinations in an efficient and effective manner and WorkstationOne helps the radiologists to accomplish this goal”.
WorkstationOne supports IHE integration profiles and the display of CAD markers. The workstation is a software system that can be installed on an off-the-shelf general purpose computer with one or two gray scale high resolution monitors and one color monitor.
